Who can join?

  • A Launch Partner can be an employer, policymaker or a non-profit organization that takes proactive steps to advance the cause of living wages, both within their organizations and in the broader community or industry.
  • Launch Partners play a crucial role in driving positive change and raising awareness about living wages.

  • Long-Term Commitment | Demonstrated dedication to the concept and implementation of living wages.
  • Advocacy and Education | Actively advocates for industry-wide adoption of living wages and educates on its benefits.
  • Leadership | A leadership role within their sector, inspiring others to follow their example and driving positive change.
  • Certifications and Recognition | Having or seeking relevant certifications or recognition from reputable organizations or authorities that endorse their commitment to fair wages and responsible employment practices.

Joining the WageMap movement as a Member

Who can join?

  • A socially responsible Employer who prioritizes its employees, workers in the supply chain, and communities. If you're eager to pay living wages but unsure where to start to implement fair and sustainable wage practices across the supply chain.

Criteria

  • Commitment to Living Wages | Commit to pay wages that match or surpass local living wage standards, considering regional living costs.
  • Transparent Wage Policies | Clear wage policies, outlining that employees earn enough for a decent living standard. These policies are easily available to all.
  • Compliance with Labor Laws | The employer follows all labour laws and regulations, aiming towards achieving living wages for all employees and supply chain partners.
  • Consultation with Employees | Actively engage with employees for their views on wage issues, ensuring their input is valued in decisions.

Join the WageMap Initiative

There are multiple ways you can join and engage with the WageMap Initiative:

Launch Partners

Can be employers, policymakers or non-profit organizations that take proactive steps to advance living wages, both within their organizations, the broader community or industry. Launch Partners play a crucial role in driving positive change and raising awareness about living wages.

Data Providers

Organizations that generate or maintain living wage estimate data. Data providers can choose to share their living wage estimates (or just have a link to their website) and participate directly in WageMap's evaluation and engagement activities.

Data Users

Any organizations that use Living Wage data to inform their living wage efforts, such as employers, unions and governments. WageMap will work with data users to strengthen the approach and the overall movement.

Methodology Evaluators

Individual organizations or collaborators trained to evaluate living wage estimates. Methodology evaluators will review self-assessments and estimate methodologies against the Living Wage Reference Standard and provide scoring.

Key Partners

Non-profit organizations, unions, international organizations, and governments that work with WageMap to strengthen the approach and the overall movement. Engagement can include check-ins, specialized focus groups, or collaborations on evaluation and implementation.
